Worship as a Weapon (Part 1)

Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds.
 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,
 To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples;
To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron;
To execute on them the written judgment—This honor have all His saints.
Praise the Lord! Psalm 149:5-9

 The above scripture is going to be one of the foundational texts as we begin to study this. Here is the thought, Worship is a position we take and an expression based on a response to the word of God and the presence of God. This can raise up or tear down, encourage or discombobulate, and build or destroy. Worship is a weapon! Here is another thought, Worship as our expression to the Lord can have a devastating effect on the kingdom of darkness and it can cause the glory of God to manifest and be revealed in a situation, in an atmosphere and in a person’s  life.  Worship is a weapon! One question, do you mean that the environment of worship can cause change in our physical bodies and bring deliverance in some life and death situations? Yes, Worship is a weapon! Scriptures says Let the High praise of God be in our mouth and a two edge sword in our hand …..This honor have all His saints (Psalm 149-5-9)

The unique thing about the Gospel of Jesus Christ is its simplicity. Jesus Did the Hard and Tough Work and He gave it to us freely and by grace we have it and it takes faith to appropriate it. Because of this, sometimes we may feel like it’s just too simple and we need to do some more heavy lifting. But Jesus did all the heavy lifting and all we have to do is believe by faith and receive it and then we can come into the manifestation of Gods promises to us. An example I will start off with here is the encounter with the children of Israel and the walls of Jericho. The Heavy lifting was this, God already put things in place to have that city leveled to the Ground but He was not going to need a spear, a sling or any form of weapon of war. All he needed was the obedience of faith to the instruction God gave through Joshua. “Obedience to instructions” is the key. As long as they adhered to that instruction and not begin to wonder “how in the world do you win a battle with a shout?” They would see the salvation of the lord. It had never been done before, but God is in the business of doing new things if we will dare to believe what He says. When He says Give thanks in every situation, guess what, we give thanks in every situation. That obedience is the access for the supernatural to infiltrate our natural.
Stay with me on the next part of this series. There is more to explore. But until then, begin to take your worship life to another level. We are the circumcision who worships God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh (Philippians 3:3)

God Bless You
